WOMEN'S SOFTBALL SALINA, KS -- The 2000 All-Conference Softball Team and the honorable mention selections of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference have been chosen by the softball head coaches. The Coach-of-the-year is John Mitchell, head coach of the KCAC regular-season champion Bethany College Swedes. Friends won the KCAC Post-season Softball Tournament and advanced to the Region IV tournament of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics held in Hastings, Nebraska.

NOTE: FRIENDS UNIVERSITY is the champion of the KCAC Post-season Softball Tournament held in Ottawa, Kansas, on Friday-Saturday, April 28@29, and therefore is the KCAC representative to National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, Region IV, tournament in Hastings, Nebraska on May 11-12. The winner of regionals will advance to the 20th NAIA national annual Softball Championship Tournament.
