KANSAS COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL WICHITA, KS -- The 2000 All-Conference Women's Basketball Team of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference has been chosen by the nine active women's head coaches.

Coach-of-the-year is Annette Wiles of Bethany College Lady Swedes, the regular-season KCAC champions. The "Player-of-the-year"is Lindsay Morgan of Bethany College. The "Co Freshmen-of-the-year are Jodi Strathman of Bethany College and Kristina Barrow of Sterling College.

Bethany College won the KCAC championship with a regular-season conference record of 15-1 KCAC, and 24-4 overall.

The team winning the KCAC seventh annual post-season women's tournament (Feb. 23-28) will be the KCAC affiliated conference representative to the NAIA Division 11 national tournament March 8-14 in Sioux City, Iowa, at the Municipal Auditorium.

MEN'S BASKETBALL WICHITA, KS—The 2000 All-Conference Men’s Basketball Team of the Kansas Collegiate athletic Conference has been chosen by the nine active men’s head coaches.

Coach-of-the-year is Jerry Jones of Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes, the regular-season KCAC champions. The "Player-of-the-year’ is Josh Alexander of McPherson College. The "Co Freshmen-of-the-year’ are Devin Nightengale of Southwestern College and Adam Utz of Bethel College.

Kansas Wesleyan won the KCAC championship with a regular-season conference record of 12-4 KCAC, and 20-8 overall.

The team which wins the KCAC seventh annual post-season men’s tournament (Feb. 24-29) will be the KCAC affiliated conference representative to the NAIA Division 11 national tournament March 8-14 at College of the Ozarks, Point Lookout, Missouri, in the Branson area.
