Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference

1998-99 All Conference Women’s Basketball Team

WICHITA, KS The 1999 All-Conference Women's Basketball Team of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference has been chosen by the nine women's head coaches.

The Coach-of-the-year is Lonnie Kruse of Sterling College Lady Warriors, the regular-season KCAC champions.

The KCAC "Player-of-the-year' is Melaney McDaniel of Sterling College, and the "Freshman-of-the-year is Spencer Goertz-Giffin of Bethel College.

Sterling College won the KCAC championship with a regular-season conference record of 15-1 KCAC, and 21-4 overall.

The team which wins the KCAC sixth annual post-season tournament (Feb. 24 and 26, March 1) will be the KCAC affiliated conference representative to the NAIA Division 11 national women's tournament in Sioux City, Iowa, March 10-16.

MEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM, and HONORABLE MENTION.

WICHITA, KS - The 1999 All-Conference Men's Basketball Team of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference has been chosen by the nine men's head coaches.

Coach-of-the-year is Gary Chupp of Bethel College Threshers, the regular-season KCAC champion. The "Player-of-the-year," chosen unanimously, is Mark Ediger of Bethel College.

The "Freshman-of-the-year' is James Titus of Southwestern College, also chosen unanimously.

Bethel College won the KCAC championship with a regular-season conference record of 14-2, and 19-8 overall.

The team which wins the KCAC sixth annual post-season men's tournament (Feb. 25 and 27, March 2) will be the KCAC affiliated conference representative to the NAIA Division 11 national tournament in Nampa, Idaho, March 10-16.
