Arkansas City and Wichita Mustang softball infielder Kelsey Stewart has received one of the top honors that can possibly
come to a softball player recently. Kelsey has been selected to try out for the 2010 ASA/USA Softball Jr. Women's National
Team.

It
is an honor which goes to very few softball players, and in particular, very few softball players from what is considered
to be a cold weather state such as we are here in Kansas.
It should be noted that this does not mean Kelsey has made
the team, but that she has been selected to the pool of girls who are recognized as the top players in the nation and is being
allowed to try out for the team.
"This is a great honor for Kelsey. Not only does it show that the University of Florida
recognizes her for her athletic ability, but the US National team committee does as well" Mustang director Mark Griggs said.
"When I first heard this news I said Wow what a great accomplishment not only for Kelsey, but for the entire softball community
of the state of Kansas"
"This is the opportunity of a lifetime for any kid in any sport; I wish her the best of luck"
In an email received by the Mustangs and Kelsey Stewart, here is what they say about Kelsey.
